We decided to be Ken and Barbie from Toy Story 3 (mostly so Marc could rock this outfit), and because Jake was Buzz Lightyear and I didn't have the time to put together legit Woody and Jessie outfits. We started off Halloween weekend with a ward party for just the adults, where we took home the award for Sexiest Costume...take one guess at who won us that award...

Then on Saturday we had our ward Trunk or Treat. Here's Jake as Buzz. I can't tell you how excited he was about being Buzz Lightyear. As soon as I put the costume on him he was saying all of Buzz's lines from the movie and flying around. He kept saying "I can fly mom. I'm Buzz Lightyear." Here he is with his friends Luke and Jake (or "other Jake" as we call him). They're looking at him because I said "Say Buzz Lightyear" to get the kids to look at me for the picture, and Jake got so into character that they couldn't look away
Here he is with his friend Brooke...she made sure to tell me she isn't just any bunny, she is Ruby from Max and Ruby.
Then after Trunk or Treat we had our annual Halloween party that we have with some friends...unfortunately, several of the couples weren't able to make it this year. But we still had a blast. My cheeks literally hurt halfway through the party from laughing so much.
We played this game I got from "Minute to Win It" where you have a minute to blow all the cups off the table using only the air from the balloon. And you can blow up the balloon as many times as you need. It was funny to watch everyone try, and I was the worst one...I definitely shouldn't go on that show.

On Sunday we carved pumpkins. It started out so ambitious. I had bought a booklet of patterns from "Cars." Marc was going to do Doc and I was going to do Mater. We taped the patterns to our pumpkins and started punching the dots to draw the pattern. That part alone took so much time, we both just looked at each other and said...screw it...and ignored all of the dotted pattern and just cut out the quickest and most standard jack-o-lantern possible.
We asked Jake what kind of face he wanted on his, and he said "Scared face."

We went Trick or Treating around our neighborhood a little bit, and then headed over to Aunt Trina's.
Grandma went around the neighborhood with us for a little while.
I don't know how well this picture shows it, but Jake was hunched over and doing this slow shuffle walk because he was "flying like Buzz" up to every door. It was really funny...we were getting a kick out of it.
